What Is Monster High?
Monster High is a fictional school where all of the students are the kids of the monsters of old horror flicks
and the like. But instead of being scary like their parents, these characters are freakishly
fabulous.
For instance, Cleo DeNile, who is like the queen bee, is the daughter of the Mummy. Draculaura is the
daughter of the ever famous vampire, Count Dracula, and Frankiestein’s dad is the monster that Dr. Frankenstein
created.
Basically this webisode based series of intrigues at the school has been a huge hit among little girls the
world over to the extent that they can collect the doll characters. Well now they can build their own monsters just
like Dr Frankenstein himself once did.
Monster High Create-A-Monster Werewolf and Dragon Starter Set
With Create-A-Monster you can basically create your own Monster High character/characters. Your
child will have fun mixing and matching the different pieces. Here are all of the parts that come with this starter
set.
The Monster High Create-A-Monster Werewolf and Dragon Starter Set comes with one torso, two sets of limbs, 2
heads, and 1 wig. For making the Dragon doll, the limbs and the head are actually a light pink color with
some green details whereas the parts used to make the Werewolf doll are light blue. When assembling, the arms
actually have 3 parts that you have to snap together-one is from the shoulder to the elbow, then the elbow to the
wrist, then the hand. The legs are only two parts- the thigh to the knee and the knee to the toes. The
wig is red, l long, and curly with silver highlights.
You will also find a set of light blue werewolf ears that you can snap on to the wig and a pair of green wings
that you can connect to the back.
Once you have put the doll together- whether it is purely werewolf or dragon or if it is a mixture of both, next
step is to dress it up. This starter kit comes with two outfits and one pair of shoes. Your daughter
will have a choice or a purple skirt with a matching black long sleeved top or a green and yellow hater top and
skirt ensemble. The shoes will go with either outfit - basic black wedge.
Monster High Create-A-Monster Vampire and Sea Monster Starter Set
The Vampire and Sea Monster starter set is another create a monster set. The pieces allow you to mix and
match so that you can create some hybrid sea monster with a vampire twist or vice versa. From the looks of the
products you can create a Lagoona type Monster high doll or a Draculaura type doll. Whatever your imagination
can think up really.
These products are still quite new and are quite different from the standard Monster high
dolls so they have no really characters or storylines in the webisodes and books. One initial comment on the
products says that you can't create two dolls at the same time with the product which they were disappointed
with. This is something you might want to consider before getting this do it yourself monster high doll
set.
