Monster High Lagoona Blue Doll – Surfer Chick Meets Monster Chic

So the Monster High Lagoona Blue Doll is a surfer chick with a bit of a dark secret – she is the daughter of the Monster from the Black Lagoon. All we can say is that she must have got her mom's looks because the monster from the Black Lagoon is not a good looking fella. So the Monster High Lagoona Blue Doll looks like your typical surfer chic. In fact at some times she was thought to have an Australian accent but this has changed from time to time. Maybe her accent has changed now that she is at Monster High School.

Like typical surfer chicks she has long blond curly hair. She loves to wear tank tops, baggies and flip flops and spend as much time as she can at the beach. She loves the water and the ocean. If she can't be down the beach then she wills pend as much time at the Monster High pool.

Of course she loves to swim and is very good at it. But she also has to spend time in the water or her skin will dehydrate. Not surprisingly she is captain of the school swimming team.

She is very nautical in fact. She appears to have fins on her legs and arms which no doubt make her more streamlined in the water. She also seems to wear fishnet type clothing in the shape of a head dress and a jacket and leggings  – you'd think she would object to this style of clothing but there you go.

The doll comes with a pet Piranha which goes by the name of Neptuna. As it is a fish, it needs to be in water. For this purpose Lagoona comes with a goldfish bowl style handbag. This allows Neptuna to go wherever Lagoona goes.

The doll itself is like the others in terms of dimensions – 10.5 inches. She has the oversized head which is a cute and fully detailed face with luxurious blond hair flowing down. The doll is fully articulated around the important joints of the arms, legs, waist and head.

So you can move the doll and put it in various poses. This makes it easier and more fun to play with rather than a stiff doll that you can only look at. I'd say these dolls are most definitely made to play with although you could collect them but I think the main purpose is to follow the cartoons and invent your own stories with your collection of Monster high dolls.     

Again the Monster High Lagoona Blue Doll comes with a pet, hairbrush and diary. The diary gives you an insight into Lagoona Blue and is fascinating reading if you are a massive Monster high fan.
